My Roommate Went to P. Diddy's Annual 4th of July Hamptons "White" Party And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt  Because a friend's family home is located next to this estate they were invited to a weekend of parties hosted by Sean Combs, Jay-Z, and Paris Hilton. Pictures and stories (hopefully) to follow. Or not. # # # Grellan, Randy, Dennis, and I hosted a night of amateur DJing (or "in-house party mix CDs") at 12" Bar on Essex Street last Thursday. The soon-to-be weekly party is called No Data for reasons that would make a Ms. Pac-Man geek blush in shame. The reviews are in and we go to a Lower East Side authority on music to score the fight. Catherine's Pita: then we went to the no data party at 12-inch. here is how the djs stacked up: krucoff was the punkest, dennis the funkiest, randy the most enthusiastic, and grellan the cutest (by a hair).My name and punk (ass bitch!) are synonymous so there's really no debate with that -est. Dennis usually boasts more funk than the 12" house brew but never as much as when he busted out the Foxwoods theme song, The Wonder Of It All. Rating someone as "enthusiastic" just sounds like a nice way of saying "charmingly retarded" but she has a point. You have no idea how much Randy wanted to put on his Arsenal jersey and dance in that DJ booth. Batting clean-up, and what a mess it was, she scores Grellan "cutest" by a hair?? I wonder if she noticed he's balding! That margin of superlative is quickly fading. But in the end it was all braying and no fraying, a Champion-sweatshirt effort all around.
